HELLES BOCK BASH 2026 AT CHURCHKEY: 8 RARE FRANCONIAN SPRING LAGERS ON DRAFT
Saturday, March 7th | 12:00 PM - Close
...
Join ChurchKey on Saturday, March 7th, as we celebrate German Helles Bock beers! These beers start releasing in Germany around this time, and to honor this classic German lager style, we will pour a total of 8 imported, hard-to-find versions, plus we’ll have German-inspired food specials from The Mallard kitchen!
Bock beer traces its roots to the medieval brewing town of Einbeck in northern Germany. As its popularity grew into Munich, Bavarians pronounced “Einbeck” more like “Ainbock,” and over time, that was shortened simply to “bock.” Interestingly, “Bock” also means “goat” in German, and once the pronunciation shifted, brewers embraced the coincidence. The goat became the symbolic mascot of the style—a tradition still visible on many bock beer labels today.
There are many substyles of Bock beer, including Dunkles Bock (darker), Doppelbock (double), Weizenbock (wheat-based), and our featured style, Helles Bock (a light-colored version also referred to as “Maibock”). You won’t want to miss your chance to try this special lineup of beers -- including Knoblach Stammberg Bock, Mönchsambacher Weihnachts-Bock, and even Nikl-Brau’s Helles Doppelbock!
There is no admission fee for this event. All featured beers will be available a la carte.
THE FEATURED BEER LIST

TIPOPILS DAY 2026
Thursday, March 12th | 4:00 PM - Close
...
ChurchKey is proud to join Birrificio Italiano, and other locations across the world, in celebration of Tipopils Day! We’re pouring two versions of the world’s original Italian pilsner, including the limited edition Tipopils: Back To The Future!
Agostino Arioli of Birrificio Italiano is credited with the creation of the Italian-style Pilsner. Arioli first brewed Tipopils in 1996, and to this day, it is considered the benchmark of the style. Tipopils adds German Spalter Select hops after fermentation, which creates the distinctively hoppy character. The style quickly gained popularity, especially in the US.
Each year, Birrificio Italiano releases a special version of Tipopils. This year’s version, “Back To the Future” is a contemporary reimagining of the original recipe, using a generous dry-hopping of Hersbrucker, for an overwhelming herbal aroma with earthy undertones that will anchor you to your glass. And as Agostino said thirty years ago: “You’re not ready for this beer yet, but your kids are gonna love it!”
There is no admission fee for this event. All featured beers will be available a la carte.

ORVAL DAY 2026!
Saturday, March 21st | 12:00 PM - Close
...
ChurchKey is proud to join the top beer bars from across the globe in celebrating Orval Day 2026 by featuring bottles of this classic at a special price!
One of the most important beers to ever come out of Belgium, Orval is an amber-hued Belgian Pale Ale that is dry-hopped, then finished with Brettanomyces. Intensely aromatic and dry, this one-of-a-kind beer is as complex as it is unique. One of only 10 officially recognized Trappist breweries across the world; all Orval beer is brewed within the walls of Notre Dame d’Orval Monastery. The alluring complexity of this iconoclastic beer has made it a world classic, one that has inspired a generation of brewers across the globe to craft bone-dry beers of mixed-fermentation.
By participating in this event, you are also contributing to a great cause. On this day, Orval will donate proceeds from each bottle sold to the National Forest Foundation, which brings people together to restore and enhance our National Forests and Grasslands.
There is no admission fee for this event. Bottles of Orval will be specially priced at $9 for this event.
