ARIZONA WILDERNESS: TAP TAKEOVER + BOOK TALK WITH AUTHORS JONATHAN BUFORD & MIKE QUIGLEY!
Thursday, April 23rd
Arizona Wilderness Drafts: 4:00pm - Close
Book Discussion: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
...
Join ChurchKey on Thursday, April 23rd, as we host a book presentation of “Arizona Wilderness: A Celebration of the State's 90 Most Pristine Places” alongside special beers from the Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company!
Our special guests for the evening include Jonathan Buford (Author and Founder of Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company) and Mike Quigley (Arizona State Director of The Wilderness Society). Jonathan recently authored “Arizona Wilderness: A Celebration of the State's 90 Most Pristine Places". He and Mike have taken the trip to bring its message of cherishing public lands to The District.
Jonathan Buford moved from Ohio to Arizona in 2002, where his exposure to the state’s landscapes became the defining influence on his career. A backpacking trip through Arizona’s wilderness crystallized the idea of building a brewery that fused craft beer with environmental stewardship and local identity. In 2013, Arizona Wilderness was born, and has since structured its philosophy around conservation and environmental awareness.
Last year, Jonathan released a book of the same name, which highlights all 90 of the wild lands in Arizona. Told through photographs and journal entries, Arizona Wilderness discovers the different ecosystems, different seasons, different light, and different perspectives that are Arizona.
Find out more about the book here.
You won’t want to miss the opportunity to sip featured beers from Arizona Wilderness Brewing, while Jonathan and Mike present the new book and their experiences in Arizona.
There is no admission fee for this event. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
